At just one hour from Venice at the foothills of the first Alps, or Prealpi in Italian, the geographical position of Bassano del Grappa is strategic for visiting this beautiful region, but it is the charming Old Town that attracts tourists from all over the world in this relaxed center. The city center develops around three main squares and their surroundings pedestrian streets scattered with shops, bars and historical architectural details that those with a keen eye don’t miss on their visit to Bassano del Grappa.

Meet & greet and assistance for the transfers will be provided Private transfer to Bonotto Hotel Belvedere in Bassano del Grappa (duration of journey approx. 1 hour each transfer through motorway and “Pedemontana” highway)

Hotel Belvedere (4 stars - 81 rooms with all the trimmings, 3 different styles. The in house B38 Restaurant offers business or romantic dinners, tasting the best typical specialties a la carte). was originally a 15th century building and it is located right at the beginning of Brenta Valley. Arriving from the north, beyond the Valsugana choke point, you will be embraced by the valley and the palaces from Dei Martiri road. This is where you can feel the romantic atmosphere of the past.

Dinner at the Restaurant B38 : facing the walls of Bassano in a modern and lively ambience  – The Chef will amaze you with tasty gourmet recipes that get inspiration  from the local dishes and typical products.

Watch master artisans at work, discover upcoming designs, and delve into the history and savoir-faire of Italy’s oldest fountain pen manufacturer. 

Return to the hotel after the visit for a refreshing reinforced aperitif with finger food. 

Early afternoon walking tour of the historical city center including visit of the Civic Museum: The Civic Museum of Bassano del Grappa, one of the oldest museums in the Veneto region, is housed in the former convent of the Franciscan friars since 1828. 

The Museum will be opened for a private viewing (as normally closed on Tuesdays)

 The walk continues up to Palazzo Sturm (only 350 meters) from whose belvedere you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Brenta River and the Ponte degli Alpini. 

The tour ends with a visit to the ‘firewater’ producers ‘Poli Grappa Museum’ with explanation on the method of distiller ending with  a tasting of the famous “Grappa di Bassano”

To end this day in a very special way, after a short 15 minute coach transfer to  “Villa Angarano Bianchi Michiel”: a Palladian residence included in the UNESCO HERITAGE Site since 1996

A few kilometers from the center town of Bassano del Grappa, Villa Angarano is located in a landscape of great beauty among the vineyards, the hills of S.Eusebio, the river Brenta and the Monte Grappa.  An historical estate surrounded by the vineyards. 

“This is a well-known place for its precious wines here produced, for its fruits here grown, and even more for the kindness of the owner”, this is how famous Architect Andrea Palladio described Villa Angarano in his treatise “The Four Books of Architecture”. He wrote those words in 1570, but nothing has changed since then.

An aperitif with the organic wines produced from the cellar of Villa Angarano will be served, followed by a short visit of the Villa.

Return transfer to the Bonotto Hotel Belvedere 

Dinner this evening will be enjoyed in a typical local Restaurant in the historic center of Bassano, walking distance from the hotel
